“The Bucks County Autism Support Coalition strives to maximize the personal development of individuals with ASD through awareness and advocacy, education and training. This mission statement encompassed the focus of our organization. Our goal is not to reinvent the wheel, but provide support for those who have created organizations, activities, and groups that support this mission.
The BCASC has created three different types of grants for those organizations that are aligned with the mission and goals of the Coalition. The three types of grants are:
Service Grants: Grants in this category are awarded to organizations to provide financial assistance to families in acquiring services for individuals on the Autism Spectrum. The organizations applying in this category have an established service that parents fund independently. When considering applications from for profit groups, special consideration will be given to those that are willing to provide matching grants to families seeking services.
Start Up Grants: Grants in this category are awarded to organizations to provide funds for start up costs to create a service or activity to support individuals on the Autism Spectrum. For organizations applying for this grant, other financial resources must also be designated as well as a plan for sustainability beyond the BCASC grant.
Expansion Grants: Grants in this category are awarded to organizations to provide funds for expansion of services or opportunities for continued growth of the organizations. This grant is awarded to existing organizations that have a secure financial base and a track record of success. The money from this grant is used for expansion.
